The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is an all-seater football stadium with a capacity to host over 85,000 spectators at any given game. The stadium is owned by the Real Madrid Club de Futbol, so this is a top spot for any Real Madrid fan. Inaugurated in December of 1947, today the stadium is one of the world’s most famous and prestigious football venues.

Museo Del Atlético De Madrid

Atlético De Madrid has recently opened a brand new museum that is absolutely unmissable for any football fan. The museum is housed in the Vicente Calderon Stadium and boasts a display of more than 1000 objects from sporting history.

The 450 square meters are divided up into a number of fascinating displays, covering not only the history of the Madrid-based football team, but also the history of football as it developed and evolved worldwide.

Stop in at the Sala de Trofeos to see most of the cups won by the Madrid team, then visit the Espacio Fundacional and check out the collection of books, sculptures, photos and sports memorabilia that dates back as early as 1903. Take a seat in the Sala de Proyecciones to see some team history highlights, then head over to the Zona Interactiva for a round of Team Trivia.

Carlos Sainz Center

This spot offers unparalleled fun for any true sports fan. Whether you’re on vacation or you’re planning a convention, this spot definitely deserves a visit. Make a day of it by hitting up the indoor paintball fields, then head over to one of the best kart circuits in Europe for some high-speed racing with your buddies. If you’ve still got some energy to burn, maybe you’ll want to try your hand at laser tag, before winding down with a round of mini golf.

Palacio de Hielo

For sporting fun with the whole family, you should head over to the Palacio de Hielo. As you may have guessed, this venue offers a fabulous 1800 square meter ice rink for activities like hockey, curling and skating. Along with the ice rink, Palacio de Hielo offers a 24 track professional bowling alley, a gym, a vast playground, and a number of cinemas.

Canal de Isabel II Sports Club

While the historic swimming club no longer exists, the Canal de Isabel II Sports Club still offers a fantastic range of sporting activities. Of course, there are excellent swimming facilities, but families can also enjoy indoor or outdoor basketball and football, a Pelota court, a short tennis court, and seven regulation-size tennis courts (one cement, three clay, and three Astroturf).
